Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Hematology this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients battling cancer and blood disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing treating and supporting individuals through their challenging journey to recovery. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications treatments and procedures as prescribed.
- Monitor and evaluate patients progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
- Assist in conducting research and implementing evidence-based practice in Hematology Oncology.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Hematology Oncology.
- Strong knowledge of Hematology and Oncology principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest advancements in Hematology Oncology.
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts Monday-Friday
Rotating call shifts are required
Setting: Outpatient
Patients Per Shift: 15-20
Responsibilities: Comprehensive care to patients with a cancer diagnosis or hematologic disorders
Preferred Experience: 1 years
Must be board-certified
