Description

In this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to pediatric patients. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being and health of young patients making a significant impact on their lives and the community. You will be involved in a variety of pediatric projects contributing to the overall success of our healthcare initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients and accurately diagnose their conditions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for children with various medical needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare practices and treatment options.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of all pediatric patients.
  • Adhere to all medical protocols standards and regulations while delivering care.
  • Participate in medical rounds conferences and training sessions as required.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice as a physician specializing in Pediatrics.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric medical conditions treatments and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care to pediatric patients.
  • Willingness to adhere to ethical standards and patient confidentiality guidelines.

Schedule: 7a-5p or 5p-7a

No call requirement

26-bed PICU

Patient Volume: 16 per day

Required Procedures: Standard ICU procedures and ECMO

Team Structure: 2 MDs during the day 1 MD at night APPs

Must be board-certified
