About the role
The role and function of the RN Level 2 is to provide advanced clinical problem solving. This requires the Registered Nurse Level 2 to have advanced practice knowledge in Post Anaesthetic Care Unit Nursing and have the appropriate experience to provide clinical leadership. This is a full time role.
Your main duties will include:
- The RN L2 works in a collaborative multidisciplinary team acting as a clinical leader and role model
- The RN L2 is expected to manage a portfolio of work related to the National Quality and Health Clinical Standards for PACU
- The role deputises for the Clinical Nurse Consultant of PACU as requested in her absence when required
About you
- Registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (Essential)
- Demonstrates evidence of advanced clinical knowledge and problem solving skills at an advanced level in PACU.
- Post graduate qualifications in nursing or working towards the same or extensive experience in PACU
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSQHS Standards Australian College of Operating Room Nurses Standards Infection Control AS5369 Standards and HICMR standards.
- Competence in use of computer applications relevant to the work area operating systems word processing and clinical information systems e.g. IPM Riskman and Kronos
