Job Summary
The Access/Car Keys Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who loves tackling complex challenges around digital access security and authentication at global THIS ROLE YOULL: - Architect and develop highly scalable distributed backend systems supporting Apple Wallets digital access and car key solutions. - Build secure performant APIs integrating seamlessly with third-party access control systems. - Collaborate closely with hardware security product and UI teams to deliver flawless user experiences. - Mentor and support engineers encouraging a culture of technical perfection and innovation.
- We are looking for 7 years of backend software engineering experience with languages like Java
- Experience building scalable distributed systems and APIs
- Expertise in concurrency asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka)
- Experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases
- Experience authoring and supporting web services
- BS degree in computer science or equivalent field
- MS degree plus 4-5 years of software development experience or equivalent experience
- Experience/understanding of security and cryptography
