About theGlobal Shapers Community:
The Global Shapers Community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum. GSC is a group of young extraordinary individuals with great potential for future leadership roles in society. GSC while diverse in demographics and geography withover 300 global hubs is united by a common desire to channel the members tremendous energy and enthusiasm into building a more peaceful and inclusive world.
About The Mumbai Hub:
We are a group ofover 25active Shapers and Alumni comprising of entrepreneurs and changemakers creating impact across sectors. We work together closely to make a positive impact in and around Mumbai.
Examples of projects we work on:
- BOTO:What if all thedry plastic waste could go towards construction Leveraging on the proven concepts of eco-bricks we create construction bricks from PET bottles by filling dry plastic waste in them and use these for building robust structures such as public toilets.
- Shaper Dialogues:We bring Mumbaikars together tohold discussions and eventsaround relevant issues such as Gender Dispartiy In The Workplace Working With Millennials Dating In The Era Of Technology etc.
- Beach Cleaning:We team up withup the popular Versova beach clean-up effort to collect the garbage and spread the word.
