Financial Analyst
Location: Lerma / Mexico City area (initially on-site 23 days per week transitioning to occasional in-person as needed)
Languages: Spanish & English (fluent written and spoken)
Travel: Limited; primarily for meetings and alignment
About the Role
We are seeking two motivated Financial Analysts to join our growing team. These roles will support financial modeling analysis and forecasting across multiple business units including livestock trading and real estate development. Ideal candidates will bring strong math and Excel skills a curious and detail-oriented mindset and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for leadership in Mexico the U.S. and Canada.
This is an excellent opportunity for junior analysts (23 years post-college experience) looking to grow into more senior financial roles within a lean entrepreneurial company generating over $80M in annual revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Modeling & Analysis
Build and maintain advanced Excel models for livestock trading and real estate development.
Develop financial calculators and forecasting tools to support construction and investment decisions.
Analyze commodity futures and trading activity (with emphasis on swine/pigs) to identify patterns and opportunities.
Reporting & Insights
Prepare variance analyses profitability assessments and cash flow forecasts.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership in clear bilingual reports.
Track and evaluate KPIs across business units to support decision-making.
Business Support
Collaborate with trading operations and real estate teams to align financial insights with business goals.
Support special projects ad hoc analysis and cross-border business initiatives.
Assist in designing automated tools bots and mechanisms to improve trading efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field (math/statistics minors a plus).
23 years of post-graduate experience in financial analysis modeling or related number-crunching roles.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables macros financial functions); exposure to automation tools is a plus.
Strong math aptitude and ability to build complex scenario-driven models.
Basic understanding of markets economics and commodities.
Bilingual (Spanish & English) with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Personable detail-oriented and able to think creatively about financial challenges.
