ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate fluently in English both written and verbally.
- Excellent computer skills required
- 1-2 years of office experience.
- High School degree or equivalent required.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in applicable field preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compare pick list to sales order to ensure accuracy (pick list is prepared by truck loader).
- Print preliminary manifest final shipping manifest and Bill of Lading.
- Communicate with adequate departments about incoming/outgoing loads.
- Compare the weight of product being shipped to the scaled weight of the truck to ensure the product on the truck is in the expected weight range.
- Keep track of truck seals (manual).
- Prepare export documentation.
- Establish good working relationships with the USDA and Shipping Department.
- Reconcile the livestock production at the end of day.
- Reconcile hog costs and process daily payments to producers.
- Monitor capital projects such as following up with invoices working with project manager for updates and maintaining an active spreadsheet of ongoing projects.
- Daily weekend (Saturday & Sunday) may be required.
