Scope:
This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in digital advertising sector and work with professionals in a fast-paced data-driven environment.
We are looking for an inspired and motivatedIntern - Junior Data Scientistto join our team and work on
the design and implementation of data-driven solutions on our Location Intelligence Platform.
Requirements of the role:
- Genuine interest in data science and data analysis.
- Knowledge of Python programming.
- Currently pursuing studies in a quantitative field such as Mathematics Statistics Engineering or related areas.
- Familiarity with basic Machine Learning models and methodologies.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data quality best practices.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and Big Data tools (AWS preferred).
- Introductory knowledge of SQL (e.g. Postgres) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and appropriately for the audience.
- Valuable: exposure to tools like JIRA Bitbucket or Confluence (academic or self-taught experience is fine).
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM).
- Advanced level of English.
- (Bonus) Interest or experience in CI/CD pipelines.
- (Bonus) Interest in the adTech or marTech industry.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of our geolocated intelligence platform through data analysis and research.
- Assist in translating business questions into technical tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
- Learn how to define data strategies and understand the relationship between data usage and data design.
- Contribute to data exploration research and visualization to support ongoing projects.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions.
- Collaborate with team members to understand how project scopes are defined and managed.
- Observe how cross-functional teams (DevOps AI DB Frontend Backend) collaborate and contribute where appropriate.
- Assist in the training and evaluation of machine learning models with support from senior data scientists.
- Take part in data discovery tasks helping investigate new data sources or novel uses of existing data.
- Support the creation and execution of basic data validation procedures and contribute to improving data quality.
- Help document and organize reusable code components and libraries (primarily in Python).
