Harris County ESD#50 (Channelview Fire Department) will be accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic or Paramedic assigned to the EMS Division. Harris County Emergency Service District #50 (Channelview Fire Department) encompasses approximately 19 square miles that produces over 4662 responses for emergency service per year.

Qualifications

To obtain employment an applicant must meet the following criteria at the time the application is submitted:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 Years of age
• TDSHS Paramedic Certification
• Valid DL

• EMS Division NEW Shift beginning 1/11/2026: 48/96 (2 days on 4 days off) Three shift rotation (I II & III)
• Starting Salary - $82089.72/year
• After 1 year Salary - $89825.76/year *Plus available overtime upon completion of FTO
• Average ambulance call volume 5/day
