Lead Software Engineer - Encompass Administrator

As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Home Lending youlead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by Interpreting technical and business objectives identifying challenges and providing innovative solutions to address them.

Job responsibilities

• Proven track record in supporting mortgage operations by enhancing workflow efficiency ensuring compliance and managing system integrations.
• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers/system analysts on daily tasks and activities.
• Ensures optimal performance of all Home Lending systems leading to enhanced productivity and adherence to compliance regulations.
• Design and maintain custom input forms business rules field triggers loan programs and personas to streamline lending workflows.
• Support system upgrades testing and change management ensuring minimal disruption during releases.
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output practices and collaboration.
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the teams work in accordance with compliance standards service level agreements and business requirements.
• Creates a culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience.
• Experienced Encompass Administrator with over 7 years of hands-on expertise in configuring customizing and maintaining the Encompass LOS platform to support retail wholesale and correspondent lending channels.
• Familiarity with API calls Encompass plugins OOP framework and version control tools like GitHub.
• Exposure to JavaScript particularly in the context of Encompass Web.
• Experience in writing and maintaining REST / SOAP Based APIs.
• Working Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines Git -based workflows or configuration-as-code practices.
• Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists and practical cloud native experience.
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
• Experience in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines.
