Job Summary

JOBGOAL:Toensurethateligiblestudentswithdisabilitiesreceiveafreeandappropriate

publiceducation(FAPE)

PERFORMANCERESPONSIBILITIES:

1.ProvidesinstructiontoeligiblestudentswithdisabilitiesunderIDEAinaccordancewiththeirIndividualizedEducationProgram(IEP)whohavebeenplacedinhomeboundservicesduetophysicalinjurychronicorlong-termillnessorasaresultofadisciplinaryactionfollowingappropriatedueprocess.

2.Assistswithdueprocessconferencesandassociatedpaperworkforstudentswith

disabilitiesundertheIDEA.

3.Notifiesahomeboundstudentsschoolandsecureshis/herclasswork/assignments

onaregularbasis.

4.Providesthestudentscompletedassignmentstotheschool.

5.EnsurestheprovisionofFAPEtoahomeboundstudentwithregardtohis/hergeneral

educationcurriculumandspecialeducationservicessetoutinthestudentsIEP.

6.Completesallhomeboundinstructionformsandreturnsthemtotheappropriate

personnelwithinthedesignatedtimelines.

7.WorksdirectlywiththeTeacherofRecordSpecialEducationCoordinatorandDirector

ofSpecialEducationtoensureservicesareprovidedtostudentswithdisabilitiesin

accordancewithhis/herIEPs.

8.Assistschoolswithonsiteinstructionalsupporttoteachersandschoolswith

implementationofinclusivepracticesinschoolsalignedwithDESEsNewDirection.

9.IsknowledgeableaboutthedistrictsSchoolBoardpoliciesdistrictDesegregation

Plananddistrict/schoolguidelines/regulationsandadherestothesame.

10.Assistswithdistrictandstatewideassessmentadministration

uponrequestandscheduleavailability.

11.Assistswithdueprocessuponassignment.

12.Performsotherdutiesasassigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule. Placement depends upon education and experience.

Length of Contract: 190 days per contract year
