This assignment is intended to be 6 months in Co-op will learn operations of a quality lab from method development and validation to scheduling lab time. This position will combine knowledge of analytical chemistry with quality requirements and business operations giving the candidate a wholistic view of how a quality lab operates in a large volume manufacturing site with very special chemistries. What Youll DoLearn routine testing procedures for our specialty chemicals to provide data for Customer knowledge of analytical tools to assist with knowledge of analytical chemistry and interactions to evaluate and suggest improvements to current lab operations and assist in streamlining or making improvements to the process to improve lab in ensuring proper Laboratory cleanliness to support high quality trace-level dataFollow and improve safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly environment (5S Guidelines)What We SeekExperience with Analytical techniques such as GC IC ICP-MS FTIR Raman and of statistical process control to verify quality of data recognize and address data of all MS Office applications additional knowledge of statistical processing applications dashboarding applications or project management resources is a plus. Ability to multi-task and balance independent work teamwork and time attention to detail and organization required to ensure high quality analysis and Major(s) & Graduation YearPursuing bachelors in chemistry preferred although other relevant sciences and specialties are acceptable Chemistry: Chemical Physics and Instrumentation 2026 or 2027Chemistry: Materials Chemistry 2026 or 2027Chemistry: Statistics and Data Science 2026 or 2027Chemical Engineering: Materials 2026 or 2027EligibilityMust be a currently enrolled studentAvailable to work 40 hours a week M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
