Are you passionate about shaping the future of engineering through innovative digital solutions Do you want to empower engineers to design sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy projects that improve society Join us at COWI as a Product Owner in Business IT and play a vital role in building the digital tools that will enable real change and transformation. Your office location could be either Lyngby Aarhus or Aalborg based on your preference.

As a Product Owner you will own the vision and delivery of impactful digital products that streamline and enhance engineering workflows. You will join our department in Business IT where we are 23 specialists and project managers in IT Data Science and GIS working alongside our customers and internal partners to digitize and improve the way engineering is done.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Define prioritize and maintain a clear product backlog that reflects stakeholder needs and maximizes business value
• Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders (customers users management) and the development team ensuring their feedback informs product decisions
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development toward high-quality deliveries
• Collaborate in sprint planning backlog refinement and review meetings with the Scrum Master and development team
• Continuously clarify requirements and answer questions throughout the product development lifecycle
• Review and accept completed work to ensure it meets agreed standards and product goals
• Gather and integrate market and user feedback for continuous product improvement

While not a requirement experience with the following tools and areas are relevant:

• Experience with product management tools like Azure DevOps Product board or Jira
• Experience defining and owning a product roadmap
• Familiarity with consulting engineering sectors especially renewable energy infrastructure or building projects

Qualifications
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you whether they are colleagues partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that you will have:

• 3 years of experience in a product owner role or in consulting engineering
• Effective communication skills including management of key stakeholders
• Interest in the intersection of IT and engineering especially in renewable energy infrastructure or buildings
