Job Summary

HR Generalist
Location: Owings Mills MD (100% onsite)
Salary: $90000 - $115000 DOE

We are seeking an HR Generalist to join a well-established high-end hospitality organization with up to 200 employees. This is a direct hire role with the opportunity to grow into a leadership position. The HR Generalist will be the face of the HR department providing hands-on support with a strong focus on compliance in leave administration workers compensation and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local laws with particular focus on FMLA ADA workers compensation and OSHA requirements
  • Partner with management to align HR compliance and safety initiatives with organizational goals
  • Administer and track leaves of absence accommodations and return-to-work processes
  • Manage employee relations investigations and disciplinary actions while ensuring adherence to policy and law
  • Oversee workers compensation claims coordinate with carriers and maintain documentation
  • Lead compliance audits reporting and training on HR policies safety and regulatory updates
  • Support benefits administration payroll backup and HRIS recordkeeping while ensuring accuracy and compliance standards are met
  • Handle recruitment efforts including postings candidate screening interviews and onboarding

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years HR experience with direct responsibility for leave management workers compensation and OSHA compliance
  • Strong knowledge of employment law safety regulations and benefits administration
  • Bachelors degree in HR business or related field preferred
  • Approachable solutions-oriented and able to navigate sensitive employee issues with discretion
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings/weekends for company events
