The Precision Control Actuation System department is seeking a mechanical design engineer to join the Harness and Interconnectorganization to support the development build and verification of harnessing PCAS organizationstaffsengineers for a variety of roles supporting primarily tactical missileIntegrated Product Teams.
What You Will Do
At this grade level you will be expected to work autonomously with regular and periodic oversight have knowledge of the harness and interconnect domain and coach and review the work of other professionals.
Support may include but is not limited to detailed mechanical design test design and execution systems engineering proposals and estimates or earned value management.
You will be expected to flex responsibilities based on the current needs of the organization and their respective skill sets.

The PCAS organization provides ample opportunities for hands-on hardware engineers are exposed to a variety of lab activities including engineering builds hardware integration and hardware verification.
The PCAS organization provides a strong technical learning environment with a dedicated technology pyramid comprised of engineering fellows. PCAS engineers are provided the opportunity for direct access to these subject matter experts fostering accelerated technical growth.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with development of harnessing requirements system architecture requirements risk requirements verification and validation system performance & function safety and environmental compliance
Experience working with a wide variety of industry / military standards and specifications
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5
Experience with any Harness and Interconnect systems
Experience with Pro/Engineer/CREO 3D modeling and mechanical drawing generation
Proven design and manufacturing knowledge in machined parts injection molded parts wire harnesses/flex harnesses and related components
