Behind every great hire is a great processand thats where you come in. LLCC is looking for an Employment Specialist to support our growing recruiting team. Youll partner with our Recruiterwho leads the charge in finding and attracting great candidateswhile you take the reins on the hiring process itself. From managing the hiring process and guiding managers to managing HR system entries for new employees youll be the operational backbone of our recruitment efforts. Youll also provide key support in payroll and HR functions helping ensure every new team member has a smooth start. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented highly organized and energized by a fast-paced people-focused environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills to keep requisitions candidates and hiring managers on track; excellent communication to follow up explain processes and keep everyone moving; a customer service mindset when supporting hiring managers; problem-solving and initiative to troubleshoot and identify solutions; and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic HR environment. Responsibilities include guiding hiring managers posting jobs managing applicant screening scheduling interviews coordinating pre-employment checks processing payroll tasksincluding new hire entry position and salary updates and pension codingwhile maintaining accurate HR records and providing front-line support to LLCC employees. As a staff member at LLCC you can look forward to 23 paid holidays a year including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 2 personal days 15 sick days and starting with 15 vacation days per year. LLCC staff their spouse and qualified dependent children are eligible to use the tuition waiver on credited courses. Staff can also enjoy free access to our on-campus fitness center. The person hired into this position will be placed within this range based on education training experience and skills. Required Qualifications
Associate degree or appropriate combination of education and experience. Work experience that reflects the following skill sets: Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to problem-solve work independently and function professionally and effectively under pressure. Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Proven confidence in collaborating with and guiding high level officials on complex processes and organizational practices. Demonstrated strength in the use and understanding of technology and social media. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 particularly with Word and Excel. Ability to think critically to analyze situations determine the problem and develop a solution. Numeracy skills including basic knowledge of and desire to work with numbers and figures calculation skills. Excellent customer service and organizational skills. Ability to maintain high attention to detail and accuracy while working on multiple projects with competing deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism. Ability to understand and administer complex policies procedures regulations and laws as they pertain to employment. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a diverse population. Ability to positively represent and promote employment with the college. Occasional travel weekend and evening work may be necessary for recruitment activities. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Administrative support experience in a Human Resources office recruitment experience payroll experience and/or financial reconciliation will be viewed favorably.

Monday Friday; preferably 7:30AM-4:30PM however we can accommodate a schedule of 8AM-5PM
