JOB SUMMARY
The Neuro Tech I performs electroneurodiagnostic testing. Exercises professional judgement in performing of procedures provides direct patient care to the pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patient under the supervision of the Manager of Neurophysiology the Director of Specialty Practices and the Vice President of Professional ServicesJOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Type: Full Time (80 hours per two week pay period with benefits)
Typical hours for this position: Monday-Friday hours vary 7:30am-5:00pm; on-call weekends and nights rotation
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED- required
- Minimum of 30 CEUs obtained over the first three (3) years of hire date related to neurophysiology procedures performed in the department- required
-If hired as a level II or III Neuro Tech must complete a minimum of 10 CEUs per year
Certification & Licensures:
- BLS Certification- required
Experience:
- One (1) year healthcare related experience- required
- Three (3) years health related experience in Neurodiagnostic procedures with Intraoperative Monitoring experience- preferred
- Two (2) years of experience and documentation of neurophysiological procedures performed in order to sit for Registry- preferred
- Must be able to perform all aspects of EEG LTM IONM and NCV procedures- preferred
