Test Architect (DV Security Clearance)

Due to the secure nature of the programme you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be based on sites near Chippenham and Reading 2/3 days a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Senior Test Manager at CGI you will play a pivotal role in defining and delivering the Test Strategy and Test Plan for a high-impact migration programme. Working as part of a small senior team you will provide the client with clarity and assurance to shape future cloud migration activities. This position offers the opportunity to influence one of the clients most significant technology transformations by setting robust testing standards from the outset. You will engage directly with stakeholders collaborate with technical leads and ensure all testing aligns with long-term strategic goals. Operating within a sensitive defence environment the role requires HLC clearance UK Sole Nationality and site presence near Chippenham and Reading.

Define Testing Frameworks: Develop and deliver the overarching Test Strategy and Test Plan ensuring governance and assurance for migration delivery.

Assess Migration Readiness: Evaluate existing test materials and processes with SMEs to determine readiness of legacy systems.

Collaborate with Technical Leaders: Align testing with the migration strategy by working closely with architects security and service leads.

Provide Assurance Guidance: Advise on assurance requirements and how testing should be structured and governed.

De-risk Future Migrations: Identify opportunities to re-use test artefacts to streamline and support future migration efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

To succeed in this role you will need deep expertise in testing secure cloud deployments with strong awareness of infrastructure-as-code and its impact on testing approaches. You must be confident in engaging with senior business and technical stakeholders translating complex testing concepts into clear actionable insights. Previous hands-on experience leading migration testing of legacy systems into the cloud particularly within Defence is essential. A consultancy background is highly valued especially in client-facing requirements gathering and assurance delivery. Familiarity with UK Government frameworks DevSecOps practices and holding active HLC clearance are critical prerequisites.

Secure Cloud Testing Expertise: Proven ability in testing deployments to secure cloud platforms including infrastructure-as-code and service integrations.

Migration Experience: Track record of leading testing for legacy system migrations into cloud environments ideally in the Defence sector.

Consultancy Skills: Strong consultancy background with experience in requirements gathering assurance delivery and direct client engagement.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and UK Government frameworks/assurance models.

Clearance & Stakeholder Engagement: Active HLC clearance and excellent communication skills to influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
