Job Description

Job title:Resettlement & Integration Worker
Department:Resettlement and Integration Services
Reports to:Manager Durham Humanitarian Response Project
Hours of work:Rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.; weekends required

Job purpose

The Resettlement & Integration Worker is responsible for assessing temporary resident individuals and families needs providing case management support information and referrals as well as follow-up to help them resettle and navigate services in Durham.

Using Trauma-informed and Gender-Equity approaches the Resettlement and integration Worker will also be responsible for updating the client database promoting the services of the Durham Humanitarian Response Project and conducting outreach activities and presentations to clients who are eligible for the services. The incumbent will be required to perform educational employment and housing-related information sessions for eligible clients.
