Job Description

Job Overview

Under general supervision the Proposal Developer will support the global sales team by developing and preparing budgets and proposals for assigned customers. This role is key in driving business success for the Bioanalytical and ADME laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to help win business and achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare high-quality customer-focused bioanalytical proposals for incoming opportunities.
  • Manage the proposal development process ensuring timely input and consistency across departments including Operations Project Management Sales/Business Development and Senior Management.
  • Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and identify key information for proposal text and budget development.
  • Support fellow Proposal Developers in delivering assigned opportunities.
  • Draft and revise preliminary agreements budgets and scopes of work ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and policies related to proposal development.
  • Participate in strategy calls to clarify customer needs and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct quality control reviews and finalize documents for distribution.
  • Maintain and update corporate databases and tracking reports.
  • Attend customer meetings as needed.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences Business Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in proposal development or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with the CRO (Contract Research Organization) industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; understanding of costing models.
  • Ability to interpret RFPs and protocols.
  • Strong analytical verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships across teams and with customers.
