This assignment is intended to be 6 months in is seeking a highly motivated Scientist Product Development Co-Op who thrives in a fast-paced environment where safety quality and continuous improvement are paramount. You will be a player on the dynamic New Product Introduction team to support projects driving profitable growth in the companys Deposition and Etch Solutions group. Projects will vary depending on size and scope requiring flexibility and tailored solutions. The positions primary directive will be to establish and scale up synthesis and purification process for advanced deposition materials used in high performance semiconductor products. This position will support new product development from concept and feasibility through the engineering phase in our new product phase gate process. You will be a player on the New Product Development team along with other skilled scientists and engineers whose objective is to design develop and scale up processes sub-components and equipment for the manufacturing team that are used by our customers to build high performance semiconductor products. What Youll DoIn concert with technical staff carry out experimentation to develop/scale up synthesis and purification of air- and moisture-sensitive inorganic and organometallic precursors for CVD/ALD all experiments procedures and results thoroughly. Maintain/own lab equipment required to perform the job (i.e. gloveboxes fume hoods glassware etc.).Pull chemical samples and submit to the lab for out experiments that build fundamental understanding of new chemistries materials of compatibility vapor pressure measurement boiling points melting points thermal stability We Seek0-3 years of experience on chemical process developmentBasic understanding of synthesis distillation or sublimation processes on bench scale up to multiple kilogram Major(s) & Graduation YearWorking towards B.S. in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or similar technical field Graduation date of Spring 2026 or laterEligibilityMust be a currently enrolled studentAvailable to work 40 hours a week M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
