We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer professional to join our dynamic team. This role requires a proactive individual who will support cybersecurity engineering efforts while maintaining compliance with the customers enterprise-wide security policies and guidelines.
What You Will Do:
- Design implement and maintain security systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches using intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and work with system owners for resolution.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents providing detailed analysis and remediation.
- Develop and enforce security policies standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure secure software development and deployment.
- Stay current with emerging threats vulnerabilities and technology trends.
- Assist in compliance efforts (e.g. ISO 27001 SOC 2 HIPAA GDPR).
What You Will Need:
- A minimum of FIVE (5) relevant experience.
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individuals degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
- Typically performs all functional duties independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with the application of AI/ML techniques in cybersecurity
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks standards and best practices (e.g. NIST ISO 27001).
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISA CISM GIAC RHCE CPTE or CEH are desired
- Understanding of ethical AI principles and their implications in cybersecurity
