The opportunity
Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities employs over 1900 staff and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications including power generation transmission and distribution oil chemical and gas industrial manufacturing semiconductor and data centers as well as building and transportation sectors. How youll make an impact
1. You will be part of an R&D Team specialized in the Technology development of Distribution Transformers drive for product cost-out activities through appropriate design actions on Transformers.
2. You will be possessing knowledge of Chinese and International Standards & Codes GB IEC IEEE DIN ISO for electrical design-related aspects of transformers and shunt reactors developing new ideas for transformer designs based on technology requirements and focused on the regional needs.
3. You will work on standardizing schematics and supports R&D / manufacturing engineering projects. You will be running verifications using 3D simulation tools (Dielectric/Electromagnetic/Thermal) to simulate different behaviors of the power transformers and become local technical reference for Troubleshooting Analyzing failures.
4. You will work on document all activities data and information in line with procedures.
5. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background
1. You hold a masters degree in electrical/mechanical engineering.
2. Learning or work experience in transformers or relevant areas. Experience in using commercial simulation tools (dielectric magnetic and/or thermal).
3. Experience in Research and Development activities related to power transformers and preferably have experience in designing and conducting experiments. Willingness to learn and try new things and collaborate with others to achieve great results.
4. Knowledge of production machinery processes and standards related to power transformers. Responsible team player with a structured and result-oriented work approach.
5. Knowledge of Computer Aided Design 3D Modelling CREO application is a plus. Willingness to travel.
6. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
