Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates orientation assessment group individual and family rehabilitative counseling services for the male shock incarceration program participants and family court sentenced juvenile offenders housed at Kirkland and Broad River Correctional Institutions.
- Participates in offender focus case management team accountability board hearings and offender community meetings.
- Accurately documents in designated database and automated medical records system within appropriate specifications.
- Participates in staff meetings and attends training as required.
- Completes monthly report releases documents and submits as requested for supervisory review.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelors degree in guidance counseling or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

OR
Must possess computer skills.
