Job Description

Enterprise Grant & Contract Manager

  • Salary Range: $$83269 - $99916 based on relevant years of experience
  • Location: Larimer county Colorado
  • Status: Full Time- 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday - Friday

Role Overview:

Responsible for overall management activation tracking reporting and compliance of funding contracts/grants across the organization. This role supports the Accounting Finance Data Clinical and medical teams by ensuring accurate accounting budgeting and reporting of contract-related activities. The role will lead an Experienced Grant Analyst and collaborate closely with program managers senior leadership and other budget owners as well as external stakeholders to ensure the integrity of contractual relationships. This position will demonstrate a commitment and provide leadership for SummitStone Health Partners values by delivering visionary and operational leadership while fostering trust collaboration and a diverse and inclusive environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee full contract/grant lifecycle management including application negotiation award budget fulfillment expenditures amendments reporting and closeouts.
  • Collaborate with Development Finance and Program teams to support grant proposal budgets and financial narratives.
  • Partner with Finance and Program teams in organizational budget development process.
  • Create and maintain accurate contract calendars partnering with program managers to ensure timely submissions of reports renewals and compliance documentation.
  • Support program managers in monitoring contract performance-to-target to ensure compliance with external requirements and internal policies.
  • Analyze summarize and report on contract performance fund utilization variances and forecasts to leadership program teams and budget owners.
  • Be the authoritative cross-functional partner with various teams to ensure systems and processes are in place for proper tracking of programmatic data and recognition of grant revenue and expenses in accordance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits including contract and grants-specific audits by providing schedules reports and documentation.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and help implement more efficient systems and tools.
  • Assist the Senior Contract Administrator with contract preparation negotiation implementation and execution.
  • Along with the Development team and the Senior Contract Administrator drive the organization to make sophisticated data-driven informed decisions on contracts that considers culture match value proposition alignment with organizational goals & objectives and financial soundness and benefits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field required More than five years of experience in grant management grant accounting or related financial oversight role required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP especially as it relates to grants and nonprofit accounting required
  • Experience coordinating and successfully completing grant/contract audits including Single Audit required
  • Experience with grant or contract reporting and monitoring requirements from federal state and private funders required
  • Expertise and proven experience in Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and other federal grant regulations required
  • Experience in grant budget development (including capacity contracts) required
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or healthcare environment preferred
  • Experience implementing or improving grants management systems preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered

Highly Desired:

  • CPA CGFM or related certification preferred
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
