Required Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelors degree (B.S.)
Five (5) years of related experience and/or training in Electrical Engineering P&ID drawings plant process development and instrumentation
Use of AutoCAD P&ID and AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software package
Experience with material handling and pneumatic conveying
Electrical instrumentation background or experience
Job Description
Design specification and application of electrical devices including control panels motors and instrumentation in engineering contracts
Designing sizing and selecting electrical equipment and control systems for projects in accordance with the project specifications and budget
Produce and maintain project P&ID drawings
Define and specify electrical control schematics for engineered systems and equipment packages
Produce electrical drawings (Panel Layout and PLC I/O) for standard components as well as custom solutions for engineering contracts as needed
Review and verify electrical control schematics produced by sub-supplier/third-party vendors
Develop a sequence of operation/logic narratives for PLC logic and HMI screen programming
Prepare PLC programming and HMI screens for project control systems as needed
Develop and maintain project motor and instrument lists
Coordinate all electrical and instrumentation design and scope of supply requirements with relevant customer and sub-supplier/third-party vendor counterparts
Ensure that all required project technical documentation are complete and meet the customers requirements from an electrical and instrumentation perspective
Develop and maintain internal electrical and instrumentation standards
Direct and participate in control systems FAT testing
Support Production/Assembly activities with electrical shop testing of equipment packages prior to shipment
Resolve all customer complaints related to assigned projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
Provide sales support and project feedback as required
Develop and create start-up and commissioning plans for customer contracts
Support start-up activities at customer sites as needed
