Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Recruiter with deep experience in sourcing screening and placing candidates within DOE-affiliated environments including nuclear environmental remediation and national laboratory settings. Youll serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers ensuring alignment with federal compliance security clearance protocols and niche technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with DOE clients and internal stakeholders to define hiring needs and candidate profiles
- Source candidates for roles in nuclear engineering cybersecurity environmental science and technical project management
- Screen resumes for specialized certifications
- Conduct behavioral and technical interviews ensuring cultural and mission alignment
- Manage candidate pipelines using ATS platforms (e.g. iCIMS Taleo Bullhorn)
- Coordinate interview loops with technical panels and federal program leads
- Negotiate compensation packages within federal contracting constraints
- Maintain compliance with DOE-specific hiring protocols
- Build and maintain relationships with cleared talent pools and DOE subcontractors
Qualifications
- 5 years of technical recruiting experience with 3 years in DOE or federal contracting environments
- Familiarity with DOE sites and associated labor categories
- Proficiency in sourcing platforms
- Exceptional organizational negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Experience
- Prior work with DOE prime contractors or subcontractors
- Experience recruiting for roles in nuclear safety radiological controls and environmental compliance
- Knowledge of federal labor categories and SCA classifications
