The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Regional Grassroots Advocacy Specialist as part of the team that is working to produce positive public policy outcomes for the company. This role can be located in Arlington VA; or Berkeley MO. Our team is open to hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Senior Specialists.
This exciting opportunity will work to broaden and enhance Boeings relationships with employees retirees suppliers associations and other internal and external partners in support of driving Boeings government operations agenda at the federal state and local levels.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with executives to develop and implement grassroots advocacy strategies that effectively shape public policy and advance the companys interests.
Represent the companys interests and act as a focal in policy and public affairs matters by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain relationships and partnerships with key internal and external entities to enhance the companys influence and collaborative advocacy opportunities.
Consult with executives to define the companys positions and integrate diverse interests into lobbying efforts at local regional and national levels.
Administers the creation of reports and documentation (e.g. employee labor reports expense reports federal/state/local reporting requirements) related to spending lobbying activities ethics and gratuities to align with local/state/Federal laws regulations and Boeing requirements
Serves as a collaborative and innovative grassroots advocacy leader within Boeings Government Operations team
Demonstrates commitment to Boeings Values and Behaviors
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher
3 years experience in Politics Campaigns Public Affairs and/or Issue Advocacy
3 years experience working on federal state and/or local public policy issues and/or federal state or local political campaigns
Capable of traveling 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in political and/or campaign organizing and coalition building
Proven success building coalitions and strategic alliances
Experience working on grassroots advocacy programs on behalf of industry or specific programs and/or legislation
Experience in State and Federal legislative processes
