Job Summary

Job Summary


Designs and supervises employee records maintenance functions in Support Services.

Essential Functions

and trains assigned staff conducts performance appraisals makes
employment and discipline recommendations and coordinates work assignments.

systems to handle employee information flow to ensure efficient records
processing and retrieval.

implementation of annual salary schedule updates.

the preparation of experience and employment verification forms for both
current and former employees.

as school district representative for all unemployment compensation claims
and hearings.

personnel reports of a specialized nature for the Board State Department
of Education and outside agencies.

the computerized system for EEO reporting and monitors for accuracy.

and monitors verification of experience for salary purposes for certificated
employees new and or returning to the district.

coding structures in the computer system for Duval County School
System/Department of Education reporting.

as liaison to the payroll division to ensure timely and correct payment of
employees.

other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Masters degree
preferred.

Experience: Three (3) years experience in school administration or Human Resources.
Experience in staffing and recruiting preferred.

Certifications & Licenses: NA

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Human Resource related laws regulations policies and collective bargaining
agreements
Knowledge of Human Resources principles practices procedures methods and theories
Strong supervisory management skills
Strong oral written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong word processing spreadsheet and presentation software skills
Strong Human Resource Information Systems skills (SAP preferred)
Ability to interpret union contracts
Ability to design workflows and procedures
Ability to manage team activities
Ability to implement continuous improvement processes
