Introduction:
As Digital Manufacturing Analytics Product Deputy Director you will be reporting to Head of Global Digital Manufacturing. You will shape your team vision roadmap (in alignment with overall Digital Manufacturing Roadmap for the next 3 years) and steers the team in the solution delivering and business value capture. You will take end-to-end responsibilities including digital technology trend scanning opportunity identification use case prioritization analytics product team forming solution development and deployment stakeholder engagement (target setting debottlenecking deployment driving solution adoption) communication (progress results recognition roadmap) business impact tracking and solution enhancement. This will be a cross-functional role acting as a bridge between in-house digital/ technical team business roles and solution vendors. You will have one primary impact domain (or one digital manufacturing pillar) to exercise end-to-end digital product ownership e.g. facilities production planning and scheduling or robotics-based shopfloor automation.
Your Job:
Work closely with domain operations GFIT and all required stakeholders to translate their needs or challenges into potential digital/AI problem statement.
Define product goals and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop analytical frameworks models roadmaps and metrics for the team and broader organization.
Build and communicate a holistic vision for AI-embedded processes / systems / operating models for the pillar
Lead and coach product owners in designing analytics solutions with a user-centric approach
Develops project schedules as well as facilitating release planning sprints planning and demos with stakeholders.
Support product owners to prioritize backlogs; uses business expertise and understanding of analytics needs to translate business problems to digital/AI product definitions.
Acts as bridge between executives and team members by serving as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders from project inception through completion. Regularly reports status to stakeholders and ensures delivery according to schedule and budget.
Drives engagement with solution ecosystem partners to support delivery of team objectives.
Plans resourcing for the team (i.e. new role change in role) creates requests and onboards members that join the pod.
Effectively manages and organizes sub-teams and holds open discussions about team performance
Ensures the data product or analytics solution meets relevant security privacy and compliance standards.
Drives selection of solution options work with data stewards data engineers data scientists and analytics translators to arrive at the best solutions balancing business needs and technical feasibility.
Owns and manages projected-related documentation and communication on your use case portfolio.
Drives reporting and analytics to provide visibility on team performance and team satisfaction as well as monitors spring metrics and user results.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.
What you need:
Bachelors degree in business finance computer science statistics Mathematics Engineering Physics or related fields
8-15 years of experience in leading end-to-end digital/AI solution development team with demonstrated success (e.g. translators AI project managers data scientists/engineers/stewards product owner).
Broad knowledge in business analytics (e.g. AI/ML/Gen-AI development and integration visualization agentic AI) data engineering and digital technology.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
Deep understanding of agile methodologies and what makes teams successful.
Focuses on business agility and agile delivery with a fail-fast succeed early mindset and emphasis on measurable outcomes.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; able to communicate effectively with multiple leadership layers and across a broad base of team members.
Self-motivated and eager to learn business and analytics perspectives.
Creates a culture that relentlessly focuses on helping the team and organization reach their goals.
Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates an inclusive and effective workplace.
Ability to influence at all levels (from junior colleagues to executives)
Ability to motivate team members.
