The ideal candidate for this position is an occupational therapist who has a strong desire and interest in developing an expertise in providing occupational therapy to children in an outpatient setting in a multidisciplinary collaborative model of intervention.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an occupational therapist working in a pediatric setting or a strong pediatric clinical internship in a multidisciplinary pediatric setting
- Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team approach
- Interest in developing and applying leadership abilities to contribute to growth and development of therapy program.
- Professionally driven and motivated to pursue clinical continuing education opportunities to develop pediatric therapy expertise
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy to children in outpatient setting.
- Complete documentation in a timely manner consistent with agency and therapy department policies and procedures.
- Collaborate consult and plan with other professional team members and client family members and care-givers
- Attend supervision departmental and agency meetings.
- Provide supervision to volunteers and students as assigned.
- Attend continuing education opportunities to maintain current licensure and develop professional competencies.
- Serve on therapy department and agency committees.
