To serve as a professional advisor for the School of Education with a focus on retention of teacher candidates specifically in the following candidate cohorts and partnerships: para-to-programs residencies/apprenticeships special education grant pipeline and transfer pathways.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned bachelors degree in education or related field plus two years of professional experience in related education field such as teacher preparation or classroom practitioner.
Demonstrates organizational and documentation skills.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills via written and verbal communication.
Possesses knowledge of elevated technological skills working with spreadsheets databases and workflows.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under time restraints.
Demonstrated commitment or proven strategies for fostering a diverse and inclusive environment; demonstrated ability or proven strategies to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualification
Preference for education licensure
Experience in teacher preparation
Experience in supervision of clinical experiences
Student-centered approach to education and commitment to helping grow the Education program
Demonstrated skills in collaboration consensus building and achieving mutual goals with colleagues an understanding of and appreciation for liberal education
