Job Description

Job Title:

Assistant Vice President Portfolio Management - Business Banking

What youll do:

As Portfolio Manager II - Business Banking youll be responsible for the management of the Banks Small Business and Consumer Loan Center (BCLC) loan portfolio and will assist mentor and train other employees on appropriate servicing responsibilities. The Portfolio Manager will manage loans to ensure the credit risks are responsibly monitored and identified. Youll assist with past dues periodic reviews per Bank and BCLC policies and procedures servicing actions and communication with BCLC Credit Administration on credit. As Portfolio Manager II - Business Banking youll be responsible for assuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Ensure proper portfolio management oversight is followed per BCLC Standard Operating Procedures and Bank policies including monitoring and collecting past dues/delinquencies monitoring the matured loan report performing servicing actions and completing BCLC required notices.
  • Collaborate closely with internal referral partners to effectively originate loans ensuring a seamless transition from initial inquiry to application submission to funding. Play a role in the sales process by actively assisting in the collection and organization of financial information from clients to help advance loans towards the underwriting stage.
  • Serve as a resource offering comprehensive product information and post-closing issues to both customers and internal partners. Complete periodic reviews for each existing BCLC loan which may include business and personal financial analysis credit monitoring credit analysis lien perfection property value research industry comparisons identifying risks and mitigating factors and recommending loan grading.
  • Work directly with customers and third parties to obtain information needed to perform annual reviews modifications tickler item collection post-close documentation exception management and complete servicing actions.
  • Reinforce superior customer service through your own example along with appropriate follow-through with involved customers and employees.
  • Handle various portfolio management responsibilities and tasks related to new loan and/or renewal requests including tickler management and financial statement collections.

What youll need:

  • 4 years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of entity documentation and various collateral requirements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations including deposit operations loan administration treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations rules and regulations industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $107885.00 - $133268.00 for San Jose CA. Salary range for new hires is generally $100370.00 - $123983.00 for San Diego CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job addition the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
