What will you do

As our new Senior Water Engineer youll be a vital part of the team who are tacklingand managing challenging water projects across a project lifecycle with strong focus on planningstrategizing options development design and construction support. Some of the key Clients that youwill have the opportunity to work with include major Water Utilities across Australia to support whole of project lifecycle from inception to handover. Your role will include:

• In association with the Technical Director being responsible for the planning design andimplementation of complex engineering solutions to meet client needs. Understanding ofClient problems through interpretation of scope and effectively communicating solutions and
  options to the Client in simple terms through a variety of channels.

• Recommending for approval final design submittals including basis of design technicalspecifications plans layouts schematics and detail design and providing expert guidance forcreative and innovative safe design solutions. Leading safe and sustainable design initiativesand supports compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.

• Working closely with the Project Manager to manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teamsensuring efficient delivery and dealing with complex environments and risk.

• Setting and meeting client service expectations and delivering value to the client in area ofspecialisation. Developing deep insight into the client business and shares this knowledgewith colleagues.

• Scoping and converting additional work with existing clients and identifying opportunities withnew clients. Actively contributes to client relationship building activities and winning work.

• Provision of mentoring and support to emerging professionals in the team. You will besupported in developing your own leadership capability and technical eminence through ourleadership programs connection with other Engineers in the ANZ Water Practice andmentoring and advice from our respected Design Directors Expertise and Practice Leaders.

What can you bring to the team

Firstly you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Hold a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or similar

• Have extensive experience (10-15 years) in the relevant field of expertise. Experience indelivery of detailed design is highly desirable.

• Experience in Design Management of medium size projects or packages/facilities.

• Civil Design lead of municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure

• Proficiency in Networks design and pumping systems (Water & Wastewater)

• Skilled in Hydraulic Engineering (open channel and closed conduit)

• Ability to instruct junior engineers designers and drafters and provide engineering and quality assurance as a reviewer across all deliverables generated
