Job Summary

Janicki Industries is an innovative family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace defense and space industries. We are looking for a NDI Level II Technician to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The NDI Level II Technician performs calibrations testing and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results. Level II Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes standards and specifications. Level II Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians. Level II Technicians organize and report results of NDT.

The NDI Level II performs the following duties:

  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection using A-scan B-scan and C-scan Methods.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections.
  • May instruct and supervise others.
  • Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Interface daily with management about work priorities and progress of projects.
  • Work closely with management to identify and remove obstacles.
  • Actively participate in client safety initiatives incident investigations etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • NDT Level II Certification per NAS 410 in Ultrasonics.
  • RT Certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Wage range for this role is between $25 - $45an hour plus a discretionary bonus 401(k) matching vacation and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts off-site work and access pay. The range provided is Janickis estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience location education training skills and abilities
