About the role
Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy networks Join us as a Future Networks Strategy Specialist and play a pivotal role in driving Essential Energys transition to a smarter more sustainable this role youll contribute strategic insights and analytical expertise to support the integration of distributed energy resources and the development of innovative non-network solutions. Youll help shape long-term strategies and initiatives that align with our corporate objectives balancing performance innovation and cost-effectiveness.
This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energys operational footprint.

About your skills
- Strong strategic planning and commercial awareness
- Excellent data analysis modelling and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to simplify complex issues and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of customer and network behaviour
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in business systems and reporting tools
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on innovation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and/or qualifications
Desired experience
- Experience in the electricity distribution sector particularly with innovative technology programs
- Proven leadership in strategic and delivery teams
- Familiarity with Australian electricity regulations and legislative processes
- Experience in business strategy execution policy development and process automation
- Background in Business Commerce or Economics (desirable)
