This role is part of Alcons Manufacturing function a team that designs produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.

We are currently hiring a Manager Production Planning Management for our sunny Irvine California site. We are looking for dynamic inspiring inclusive team members who collaborate with others knowing that diverse talent skills and perspectives lead to better outcomes. A Day in the Life:

As Manager Production Planning Management you will be responsible for leading a team to ensure productivity and alignment with departmental goals. You will plan direct and monitor production activities liaise with various departments manage production line maintenance and ensure a safe work environment. Leadership time management communication and team coordination skills are essential to drive operational efficiency and team performance.

You will have several essential responsibilities including:

• Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring productivity and alignment with departmental objectives.
• Plan direct and monitor production activities to meet specifications schedules volume/cost/wastage targets and quality standards.
• Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering Supply & Logistics Sales and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor/capital resources.
• Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management driving talent development ensuring positive associate relations enhancing associate engagement recognizing achievements and driving a strong safety culture.
• Plan prioritize and manage production line maintenance and downtime to minimize disruptions.
• Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement.
• Ensure a safe work environment and develop pipeline talent.
• Make operational decisions impacting team performance and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GxP regulations by following SOPs maintaining accurate and complete documentation and completing required training.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs; Assoc.9 yrs; M.S.2 yrs; PhD1 yr)
• The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience
• 3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
• Work Location: Onsite
• Travel Requirements: 0 10% Domestic
• Sponsorship available: No
• Relocation: No

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working at a Manufacturing site
• Global Supply Chain Experience
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Advanced Excel Skills
