The Fleet Technician will support the Manager of Fleet Services in providing safe reliable and accessible transportation for all programs of Fello and Fello Communities. The Fleet Technician will complete all routine maintenance on agency vehicles and assist in coordinating a Fleet Maintenance plan. This role also provides support for events ensures compliance with policies and regulations and is considered essential during weather emergencies. The Fleet Technician may also act as a courier and assist in vehicle preparation disposal and roadside assistance as needed.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in vehicle maintenance repairs and safety procedures with strong problem-solving abilities. They must be comfortable driving a variety of vehicles including large wheelchair transit vans and delivering professional customer service to diverse stakeholders. Strong communication skills the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adaptability under pressure are essential. The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail organizational skills and a commitment to supporting Fellos mission.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience working with vehicles of various types. A valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required. Proficiency with email MS Word and Excel is expected and a willingness to learn fleet-specific IT systems is essential.
