A Day in the Life

As a Senior Sales Manager you will lead one of the most Strategic Profite & Loss (P&L) portfolio in Brazil within the CST (Cranial Spine and Trauma) business. You will be responsible for understanding the impact of pricing on profitability and for using appropriate metrics to measure the performance of products in the market. You will also be connected to the OPME (Ortheses Prostheses and Special Materials) segment and capital equipment sales while leading a new segment managing a technology ecosystem and developing a strong and extensive team to cover the entire Brazilian territory.

At Medtronic you will work in a competitive environment and will be part of a relevant market understanding trends that affect the products for which you are responsible for and their related procedures. Together with your team you can optimize the effectiveness of your product portfolio by understanding the demands of each customer including the public and private segment strategic accounts payers distributors financial and governmental institutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Assuming this role you will:

  • Directly contribute to achieving the financial and operational goals of the Profit & Loss within the CST (Cranial Spine and Trauma) business unit supporting the companys overall financial and strategic objectives as a leader for customer demands
  • Ensure sales strategies are aligned with marketing strategies and lead implementation by setting short- and long-term objectives monitoring progress and measuring success through Business Intelligence salesforce and sales efficiency
  • Support pricing and portfolio mix management to support field sales and customers needs while providing solutions to customer offers and presentations meetings
  • Oversee new product/market introductions sales training programs and Global Operation Units and Headquarter visits
  • Support key surgeons/key account visits and attend in congresses and meetings
  • Provide strategy and direction for ongoing business development implement marketing plans define sales and market development objectives and tools and bring positive results and growth for the business in the region

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelors and an MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree
  • Experience in capital equipment segment and OPME
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience new technologys introduction and portfolio transition
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with people management
  • Extensive knowledge about as well as familiarity with project methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Agile Design Thinking or project management
  • A valid drivers license (Category B)

Fluency in Spanish is a nice to have.
