About the Role

Contributing to providing a safe environment for patients staff and Visiting Medical Practitioners your role will involve but is not limited to;

• Transport of patients throughout hospital network and to other medical facilities within the metro area.
• Assess patient for appropriate method of transfer either by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of patient flow within the hospital.
• Maintains patient and materials manual handling competency.
• Checks and replaces gas and oxygen cylinders as needed in transport vehicle.
• Removes rubbish and soiled linen.
• Cleans transport vehicle and equipment and completes all vehicle checks as required.
• Carries out other duties as directed by theManager.

About You

The successful candidate will be a motivated individual and bring a client-first attitude with a desire to assist our staff and patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes.

You will also bring:

• Certificate III in Health Services /Aged Care or equivalent desirable
• Flexibility to work across a Monday to Friday roster is essential for this role.
• Knowledge in the following areas of Manual HandlingOccupational Safety and Health practicesInfection Control and Housekeeping Protocolsand Usage of cleaning equipment
• Ability to perform a physically demanding role.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively following directions.

Candidates with relevant experience gained within the health industry will be highly regarded for this role.

Remuneration: Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement superannuation based on experience level and qualifications exclusive of penalties or allowances.
