Montefiore has an outstanding opportunity for a driven engaged and adaptable experienced Registered Nurse to join the Residential Care team on a permanent fulltime basis in the capacity of Deputy Care Manager.

The Role:

Reporting to the Executive Care Manager overarchingly you will oversee the delivery of quality care services to our consumers and ensure that the unit always maintains regulatory compliance. You will work collaboratively with our Clinical Nurse Specialist Registered Nurses and Assistant Nurses in upholding clinical excellence by promoting and driving a culture of continuous learning and development.

In this varied role some of your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) advising on clinical issues driving AN-ACC clinical governance overseeing the assessment planning and delivery of care to consumers promoting best practice assisting with admissions medication management documentation managing staff and assisting the Executive Care Manager with rostering.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards and understanding of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in AN-ACC
  • Extensive experience supporting consumers living with dementia
  • Previous experience managing staff
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills
  • Experience in palliative care and acute deterioration
  • Willingness to work across our Hunters Hill Randwick and Woollahra campuses
