Job Title: General Practice Nurse
Direct Medics are currently seeking a General Practice Nurse to work on a permanent basis in a new forward-thinking private GP Practice. The practice is dedicated to delivering personalised high-quality care and features a partner laboratory offering sameday diagnostic results and an onsite research & development facilityproviding an excellent environment for professional growth and the opportunity to pursue your own clinical interests or research initiatives.
Essential criteria:
- Valid NMC registered
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working within general practice
- Demonstrated competence in:
- Phlebotomy
- Performing ECGs
- Strong clinical assessment attention to detail and patientcentred communication skills
- Proficiency with healthcare IT systems and accurate recordkeeping
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in chronic disease management clinics (e.g. diabetes COPD cardiovascular disease)
- Training or experience with additional diagnostics (e.g. VO max BMI body fat index exercise testing spirometry peak flow)
- Familiarity with clinical governance audit and continuous quality improvement processes
- Previous private healthcare experience and subspecialty interests (e.g. rheumatology womens health sports medicine) would also be desirable.
