Job Description
Independently leading multiple projects and supporting strategic initiatives of the Kitchen Appliances business program for the brands.
Taking full ownership of the industrial design activities and delivering relevant output on time and with quality throughout the full Solution Development Process from project initiation to product launch.
Actively driving consumer and competitor research activities to identify user needs and design opportunities to create value and differentiation.
Ideating and conceptualizing solutions through sketching CAD modeling prototyping visualization and storytelling.
Teaming up with designers from different disciplines and with project team members from marketing R&D and other relevant functions.
Setting up and facilitating design ideation workshops.
Reviewing prototypes and production samples and deliver feedback documentations to ensure design intents are implemented.
Applying design language guidelines to maintain brand consistency and contribute to the evolution of our design language.
Consulting business stakeholders actively manages relationships and challenges the status quo to drive user centricity and meaningful innovation.
Guiding internal and external designers on project base.
Connecting the dots between all design competences and deliverables to ensure a holistic design approach.
Inspiring the design community and business with accumulated knowledge and experience through sharing best practices and case studies.
Bachelor or Master Degree in industrial design or related education
5-8 years relevant experience in home appliances or consumer electronics with a great sense of aesthetics proportions detailing and usability.
Extensive knowledge of design for manufacturing and manufacturing processes to ensure that your designs are feasible and cost effective to realize.
Solid craft of design skills including hand or digital sketching prototyping CAD modeling (Rhino/Pro-E (Creo)) and rendering (KeyShot).
Professional independent pro-active eager to learn and improve with a collaborative and can-do mindset.
Bringing fresh and bold ideas to the team
Willing to travel to prototype/model makers suppliers and exhibitions.
Strong narrative ability in verbal and written communication in English with strong influencing and persuading skills to manage stakeholders through robust discussions and impactful presentations.
