Position: Process Technician
Location: Garland TX
Type: Full-time On-site
Summary:
Manufacturing support position with responsibilities focused on optimizing and maintaining production processes and product scrap reduction.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform first-piece start up process verification activities.
- Make sure the correct Process Monitoring Sheet is at the press when a mold change material change or insert change is completed.
- Remove the old process control sheet and file when there is a mold change or insert change.
- Perform process verification checks and log results as defined by the product PMS.
- Respond to calls from operators regarding product/process questions and/or concerns.
- Completed assigned area of First Piece Approval document(s).
- Identify needed machine and tool repairs and initiate appropriate work order(s).
Additional Responsibilities:
- Verify end-of-arm tooling for robots as needed and initiate robot program or proper cam settings.
- Set up decorating equipment per Master Process Control Sheet as needed.
- Perform BOM verifications as needed.
- Change the Process Monitoring Sheet when full or after mold change material change or insert change.
- Participate as needed in internal problem-solving/improvement activities.
- Other Duties as assigned by supervision.
Other requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree; or 3 months related experience and/or training.
- All employees are responsible for complying with the safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform basic math functions - addition subtraction multiplication division percentages and proportions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules operating instructions and system docs.
- Ability to actively participate in problem-solving activities.
- Able to support overtime during the week or weekends.
