We are representing a global FMCG titan and a leader in the international beverage industry. Renowned for its iconic brands and expansive market presence our client is undergoing a significant transformation placing data and analytics at the absolute core of its commercial strategy. This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed high-priority Analytics Hub and shape how data-driven insights translate into tangible business value across the Africa Middle East and Europe (AME) region.
The core mission of this role is to act as the strategic bridge between the business and advanced analytics teams. You will translate complex business challenges into analytics problems and more importantly translate the outputs of data science back into actionable strategies that drive commercial growth. Your impact will be measured by the successful development deployment and adoption of innovative analytics products that solve real-world business problems from supply chain optimization to consumer marketing. This isnt a support function; you are a product leader at the forefront of the companys data-driven evolution.
Performance Objectives for Year One
Success in this role will be defined by your ability to achieve the following outcomes:
- Lead the Analytics Product Portfolio Strategy: Within the first 6 months develop and gain senior stakeholder alignment on a strategic roadmap for a key portfolio of analytics products. This involves identifying and scoping new use cases defining the product vision and creating a clear prioritization framework that balances business impact with resource constraints.
- Drive End-to-End Product Delivery: Successfully manage the end-to-end lifecycle of at least one major analytics product within 12 months from opportunity framing through to scalable deployment. You will lead a cross-functional team of data scientists engineers and analysts in an agile environment to deliver a solution that meets defined business needs.
- Architect a Scalable Deployment & Change Management Framework: By the end of month 9 design and implement a structured repeatable framework for deploying analytics solutions across diverse markets within the AME region. This framework must include a robust change management plan to drive user adoption and embed the new tools into core business processes.
- Establish Value-Measurement Framework: Within the first year establish and implement a clear framework for measuring the performance and business value of the analytics product portfolio. You will be responsible for reporting on key metrics and using user feedback to drive a cycle of continuous improvement.
- Become a Trusted Strategic Advisor: Become the primary strategic liaison for senior functional stakeholders (e.g. Commercial Marketing Supply Chain). Your success will be demonstrated by your ability to influence decision-making align cross-functional priorities and proactively shape the analytics roadmap based on emerging business opportunities.
Profile for Success
- Core Requirement: Demonstrated track record of managing the full lifecycle of analytics or data-driven software products from initial concept to successful scaled deployment.
- Core Requirement: Proven experience translating complex business problems into technical requirements and communicating actionable insights from data to non-technical senior stakeholders.
- Evidence of leading cross-functional teams in an agile environment (e.g. managing backlogs sprints and user stories).
- Strong strategic and structured problem-solving capabilities with experience influencing and aligning senior leaders across different functions and regions.
- Minimum Requirement: 5 years of experience in product management analytics technology or consulting roles including leadership of complex projects or product portfolios.
- Minimum Requirement: A Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative-related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Preferred: Experience within the FMCG/CPG sector is a strong advantage.
