Madden Caf at Homewood Mountain Resort is seeking friendly and skilled Baristas to join our team. As a Barista you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and espresso beverages as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about coffee and enjoy working in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation
Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks teas and other specialty beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
Customer Service
Greeting guests warmly take orders efficiently and ensure a positive experience by delivering outstanding service.
Menu Knowledge
Maintain a strong understanding of the caf menu including coffee varieties specialty drinks food items and seasonal offerings.
Order Processing
Accurately take guest orders process payments and ensure prompt delivery of beverages and food items.
Maintain Cleanliness
Keep the caf area including the espresso machine counters and seating areas clean and well-organized at all times.
Stock Management
Monitor and replenish inventory levels ensuring all supplies (e.g. coffee beans syrups milk) are fresh and available.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with other caf and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Upselling
Recommend additional items or promotions to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Compliance
Follow all health safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Language Skills:
Literate and fluent in English.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
Additional language(s) desirable.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra geometry and trigonometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral mathematical or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Education and/or Experience:
Prior ski resort or hospitality experience desirable.
