Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Civil Project Engineer to join our this role youll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to support workflow and document control across multiple civil projects. Youll play a key role in estimating proposal preparation contract generation file management invoicing and overall project support.

The Civil Project Engineer reports directly to the Civil Project Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain project files and keep all project-related documents organized.
- Create bid lists and packages.
- Distribute bid documents and follow up with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Material takeoffs to guarantee accurate estimating.
- Analyze quotes for completeness and accuracy.
- Estimate and prepare proposals.
- Create owner contracts and project contact lists.
- Produce purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Work with the Business Operations & Support Team to execute and ensure all required documentation is in place.
- Assist with tracking managing evaluating updating and communicating project schedules.
- Work with Superintendent on preparing specifications for temporary construction services establishing preconstruction dates ensuring materials and equipment are delivered when needed and assist with expediting deliveries.
- Create and keep up to date RFI logs to record and monitor the status of RFIs and distribute them to appropriate parties.
- Create and keep up to date shop drawing/submittal log to record and monitor the status of submittals required by contract documents owner and GC to keep the project on schedule.
- Maintain change order tracking system to include documenting changes request for pricing submission to the owner for approval and notification of how to proceed. Process appropriate subcontractor change orders.
- Assist with coding invoices promptly to allow accurate reflection of project financial performance.
- Stormwater management and inspections: Conduct stormwater management inspections and reporting in compliance with Washington DOE and NPDES permit requirements.
- Production tracking and analysis: Track daily production quantities labor and equipment usage to support superintendent in monitoring progress and productivity.
- As-Builts: Perform field walks to collect as-built information and update redline drawings for record-keeping.
- Testing and Inspections/Quality Control: Monitor quality control activities (soil compaction concrete tests asphalt densities etc.) and maintain testing logs.
- Subs/vendors: Support subcontractor and vendor coordination by tracking insurance safety plans and compliance documentation.
- Pay estimate tracking: Assist in the preparation of monthly pay applications including backup documentation for owner review.
- Closeout: Assist with closeout activities including tracking punch list completion warranty collection and turnover documents.
- Create safety binders and support the field to ensure that all safety requirements are met.
- Attend weekly job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes outlining items discussed open issues and required actions by all parties.
- Compile Operation and Maintenance Manual(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or above in construction management engineering project management accounting or information technology.
- One year of experience working in a fast-paced project management support position.
Or
- An equivalent combination of experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Bluebeam Design Build or Design Assist ComputerEase.
- Civil Project Engineering experience.
Work Environment/Physical Demand Requirements
- Required to climb walk stand bend or stoop for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- Required to work in confined spaces and at extreme heights with proper safety equipment provided by TRICO.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions with regular exposure to hazardous materials noise fumes dirt dust and cold.
Travel
This job will require travel between prospective and active job sites.
Location
This position is located in Burlington Washington.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $70000.00 - $83000.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
