Depot Connect International is the leading independent UK service provider for tank transport & depot services. We operate over 80 modern tractor units and employ circa 300 people within our network of eight depots.
Were seeking a Financial Controller to join our team on a 12 month fixed term basis and play a critical role in managing our Finance and Purchasing team. This role is based at our Redcar office. This is a key position within the company where you will be ensuring compliance accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the finance and purchasing team overseeing all accounting operations including accounts payable receivable payroll and month end processes.
- Managing budgets forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulatory and tax requirements.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
- Working with external stakeholders to make sure all external reports are filed on time.
About you:
- Professional accounting qualification (AAT/CIMA/or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to present figures and reports
