The Department of Mathematics and Computing Science at Saint Marys University Halifax Nova Scotia invites applications for a tenure-track position in Computing Science at the rank of Assistant Professor with a preferred start date of July 1 2026. The Department of Mathematics and Computing Science hosts 16 research and teaching faculty (8 in Computing Science) a full-time technician as well as professors emeriti part-time faculty adjunct professors and postdoctoral fellows. The department offers Majors and Honours undergraduate programs in Computing Science and in Computing Science and Business Administration which are accredited by the Computer Science Accreditation Council of the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS). Undergraduate students are actively involved in faculty research. Graduate students are enrolled in the . or Ph.D. Applied Science programs or in the . program in Computing and Data Analytics.

1. Cover letter (which must include a clear statement of status as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident)
2. Curriculum vitae
3. Teaching dossier which must include: statement on teaching philosophy listing of courses taught to date evidence of teaching effectiveness details on experiences training highly qualified personnel (HQP) and approach to equity diversity inclusion and accessibility (EDIA) in teaching environments.
4. Concise research proposal (5 pages max. for proposal 2 pages for references including a section on HQP training and EDIA considerations).
