You will be updated with latest job alerts via email Supervising Education and Training and Family and Consumer Sciences Education (FCS) Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and/or other programs as assigned at the secondary level.
Frequent in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
Carry out the board assignments for the AZ Department of Education and/or the Career and Technical Education (CTE) including managing assigned programs
Conduct program planning and development with business industry and the local education agencies in all assigned programs
Visit Local Education Agencies (LEAs)/ Career and Technical Education Districts (CTEDs) and provide educators with technical assistance in the area of program development and improvement including teaching methods standards-based curriculum development and utilization program planning facility management equipment selection and certification
Provide technical assistance and professional development regarding technical skills assessment and program improvement based on data
Monitor assess and evaluate assigned Career and Technical Education programs based on Perkins V and CTED legislation
Gather and analyze data for statistical CTE reports in programs
Plan statistical descriptive and other reports in regards to assigned program
Organize the activities of statewide Education and Training and FCS Advisory Boards
Assist in organizing and implementing Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Educators Rising and other Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSOs) (as assigned) activities with the FCCLA Educators Rising and other CTSO Specialists in all assigned programs at each program site
Plan organize and participate in conference workshops seminars and tours and make in-depth visits to business and industry in order to update professional competence and provide program improvement
Review evaluate design and disseminate public relation materials and conduct public relation activities
Plan for and assist LEAs in developing new CTE Programs
Review and evaluate curriculum arrange to have business industry and education validate industry standards conduct meetings make recommendations for the development of standards-based curriculum
Maintain and update on an annual basis or as requested related program documents Industry Credentials including updating related resources (program descriptions equipment list certification information etc.) for assigned programs
Participating in ADE HASS CTE CTSO or other meetings as assigned or required by programmatic assignment
Upon supervisory direction/approval serve as a consultant on task forces committees and special projects for ADE
Provide technical assistance via telephone e-mail etc.
Travel as related to occupational responsibilities (travel time is inherent in most activities listed above).
Knowledge in:
Industry experience or knowledge in early childhood family and consumer sciences and/or culinary
Planning and facilitation of adult education professional development
Development of instructional materials and curriculum
Working with advisory councils boards and the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Applicants must have taught or administered a program.
Skills in:
Speaking presenting interviewing and motivating

Computing evaluating analyzing and synthesizing data reports
Organizing prioritizing and follow through to completion

Proper written and verbal communication
Intermediate skill in using Microsoft Outlook 360 Word Excel web browsers and cloud-based files

Prioritize organize implement and coordinate multiple projects and people simultaneously
Supervision counseling team building leadership and decision making
Establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships
Working effectively internally and externally with both technical and non-technical individuals
Preference will be given to those applicants with CTE Education or Administration Certification and/or knowledge of Perkins V funding.
